Dr Emily He - Central Coast Endoscopy and Gastroenterology

Dr Emily He is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist with extensive clinical experience in gastrointestinal and liver disorders.  She is highly experienced in all aspects of general gastroenterology, including high-quality bowel cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.  She has a particular interest in liver disease, especially the management of viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and liver cancer. 

Dr He is a Staff Specialist at Concord Hospital and a visiting gastroenterologist at Gosford Private Hospital.  She is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and the American Gastroenterological Association, and is accredited for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. 

Dr He graduated from the University of NSW with honours and completed her advanced gastroenterology training at Prince of Wales Hospital.  After being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Dr He received a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council Postgraduate Research Scholarship and the White-Walker Cancer Research Scholarship to conduct doctoral research in bowel cancer screening at the University of NSW and University of Oxford. She also completed a Churchill Fellowship to study emerging technologies and platforms in optimising bowel cancer screening.  Dr He is a Senior Research Fellow at Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney.  Her research focuses on bowel and liver cancer screening, prevention, and treatment. 

Dr He is widely regarded for her holistic and practical approach to gastrointestinal and liver health, and for providing personalised quality care to all of her patients.
